The Founder
The man to whom we owe our current organisation is Jim Ovia. He is a visionary, philanthropist, chief developer and with his bubbly nature also a leader of his companies and his employees. He founded Cyberspace in 1995 and commenced operation same year as a wholly owned Nigerian Company.
The First Years
Cyberspace Limited started off solely as an Internet Service Provider (ISP), deploying the Dial-up solution over telephone lines. We then moved to FWA (Fixed wireless access). The company has since expanded its services to include complex and diverse Network Optimization, Network Security Solutions as well as Software Solutions.
The Millenia Years
Cyberspace Limited was the first to implement MPLS backbone in Nigeria. The company has successfully managed 80% ICT needs of Nigeria on its MPLS backbone via 3.5GHz, FWA Metro Network. We built a world-class converged IP Network with giga byte speed that supports any application based on the 3 hierarchical model-core, distribution and access for clients. Cyberspace Limited was also the first Microsoft Certified Partner on Business Solutions - Microsoft Dynamics CRM, they were also the first Cisco Partner to develop add-on applications on Cisco IP phones to enable user get information update on stock, exchange rates, weather reports, sports, etc on real time. The company pioneered the development and deployment of applications on CDMA Point of Sales Terminal and also pioneered the development and deployment of BREW applications on CDMA phones.
